Thanks to SilentSoldier for posting this! It just happens to be my Representative! I am very proud of his work and I know he will do a good job here as well!

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Congressman Ryan’s new post in Congress places him at the forefront of the biggest issues facing the country, from taxes and trade to social security and the safety net. Congressman Ryan has been named the chair of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, and it’s a position that could factor into presidential politics.

“Ways and Means Committee is the most important committee in Congress in my opinion,” Ryan said.

The Ways and Means Committee has jurisdiction over many of the most important areas in the federal government — extending Ryan’s reach over taxation, tariffs, trade, social security, most federal welfare and assistance programs, Medicare, unemployment benefits and child support laws — to name a few.

“It has a huge impact on the economy.  About three-fifths of the federal budget goes through the Ways and Means Committee,” Ryan said.

WE THE PEOPLE and then there is everyone else!!!

Thank you, Arlin, for putting this out! The only thing I would say is, if this flag offends you, then leave this country!

This is not from the Democratic Party (obviously), it’s not from the Republican, Libertarian, Independent or Tea Party.   We are Americans who are sick and tired of the direction people from these parties we trusted and elected have led us.   Saying the right things,  doing nothing and pretending to listen to us to get yourself elected, then acting in your own best interest is no longer acceptable.   You do not act upon the direction of and will of the people.   If we say jump, you better ask how high, but you don’t.

Republican leaders are putting up a false front…..they will do little to stop Obama from his out of control destructive agenda.   Immigration, the borders……you all defy the will of the people.   Elitist, wealthy, we’ve got ours politicians, have driven this country into the sewers.

The Power of Profanity

The Power of Profanity

It diminishes the creative power of mind and tongue.

It substitutes brassy speech for genuine boldness.

It sacrifices character on the altar of acceptance of healthy interaction.

It begets an atmosphere of hostility or adversity.

It depends on shock or crudity to establish authority or create humor.

It cheapens or desecrates life’s most precious relationships.

It acclimates the mind to the world-spirit.

It instills a reticence to speak righteously.

It erodes sensitivity toward ultimate eternal issues.

Veterans’ Deserve Our Appreciation EVERYDAY not just on Veterans’ Day!

I want to give a great big thank you to my father who served in the Air Force 3 times and a very great big thank you to my son who served in the 82nd Airborne during wartime and I praise God for bringing him back home safe and sound.  My heart goes out to my friend whose son was killed overseas.  And to all the other mothers and wives and families who didn’t get their family members back home or home whole either physically or psychologically, my prayers are with you.

I saw this on a friend’s blog and I just had to share it!  Thanks to Arlin for posting it on his site!”

Dive 260: Octopus, Shark, Ray & Dragons!

Another awesome dive from PT! She shares several wonderful species, and octopus, a shark, and a stingray! Keep praying for her so she can keep diving, the place she feels most alive, underwater! Let’s all agree in prayer that she defies the doctor’s prognosis, in the might Name of Jesus! AMEN

Pink Tank Scuba

Dear Critters,

Before every dive, my buddy LP and I make wishes for critters, and today’s dive at Flinders Pier definitely did not disappoint!

A stunning octopus was climbing a pylon; a draughtboard shark swam calmly across the weedy bottom.

Many weedy sea dragons swam in schools, while a large stingray swam around the pier in huge circles.

As always, LP was Critter Spotter Extraordinaire and yet again he was kind enough to share his amazing finds with me.

According to my medical specialists, this little pink duck should be having daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy.

But I am totally convinced that in my game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’, scuba beats chemo – and salt water is the best medicine of all.

Another fabulous dose of Vitamin Sea helps me to face another week ahead. Long Live Scuba! 🙂

Love and bubbles,

PT xxx
